Why counselling?
People come to counselling for many different reasons. Often, they’re looking for someone to talk to, other than family and friends. Sometimes they want to discuss a specific problem … Sometimes they don’t know what’s making them feel down or frustrated.
The most important thing is to find a counsellor you’re comfortable talking to and who you feel you can trust. The setting is important too –
you should feel safe and comfortable. I aim to give you the experience of talking to someone who listens to your problems, no matter how big or small. I’ll help you to reach a deeper understanding of yourself and other people, so you feel you have more choices in your life.

How are you coping?
Our early relationships with our parents/ carers, and other childhood experiences create patterns of thinking and ways of being in the world.
These unconscious ‘paintings in our minds’ affect what we see, how we cope with stressful situations, and our relationships with other people.
